Breaking down the process of small claims court in Southern Ontario:
The party that commences the claim is known as the “plaintiff”. Any claim may be commenced by filing a “Plaintiff’s Claim” with the court, with the required fee. This claim mentions a short summary of the facts relating to the case as well as the monetary value of the claim.
The supporting documents that the plaintiff intends to use to support the claim must also be filed with the first claim. The court clerk issues the claim once it has been properly filed along with all the supporting documents.

Ex-tenant left without paying one month’s rent/ he did not change the hydro account to his name which was pointed out in the contract and left without paying hydro.
